Fred and George Weasley are most easily likened to Merry and Pippin (i.e. their full names are Meriadoc Brandybuck and Peregrin Took). While they are only slightly mischievous in the books, they are shown in the movie as being real troublemakers.



Merry, described in the book as being on of Frodo's closest and most loyal friends, is also related to him somewhere down the line, and is also the less troublesome of the twosome. He is probably the brightest and most organised of all the hobbits. He is captured along with Pippin by Orcs, but escapes into Fangorn Forest, where he meets Treebeard, who gives him Ent-draught. The latter causes him to grow quite a few inches and he beats the record of Bullroarer Took, who was "three inches taller than he was supposed to be", when he returns to the Shire. He also is engaged in fighting at the Battle of the Pelennor Fields, under the care of Eowyn.



Pippin is the youngest of all the Hobbits who set out from the Shire (he has not yet come of age, which Hobbits do at 33), and who eventually joins the fellowship. He has a rather unusual "talent" for finding and getting into trouble, but has a little difficulty getting out of it again. Like Merry, he is also incredibly loyal to Frodo, and is also captured by a band of Orcs sent out by Saruman at Amon-Hen (he is also the one who is smart enough to drop his Elven brooch so that Aragorn, Legolas and Gimli can follow the trail). He is also the one, who in "The Fellowship of the Ring" wakes up the Balrog in the Mines of Moria, which caused Gandalf to call him "fool of a Took," and somehow, that name just seemed to stick.



Fred and George Weasley are the third and fourth youngest children of the Weasley clan, and are two years older than Harry, Ron and Hermione. It is almost impossible to write up separate "bios" for Fred and George, as they are inseparable, and are always together. They are a mischievous pair, who in "The Goblet of Fire", "The Order of the Phoenix", and "The Half-Blood Prince" are seen to be selling joke items (in "The Half-Blood Prince", we actually see that they have opened their joke shop, "Weasley's Wizard Wheezes"). They are both members of the original Gryffindor Quidditch team, playing as the Beaters. In a way that is similar to Merry and Pippin, they also love a joke or two from time to time, and have a curious knack for finding trouble, but still remain completely loyal to the main character of the story.

Sirius Black is an animagus who can turn into a dog. Not only is the star Sirius located in the Canis (dog) constellation, but also according to the Greek mythology Orion's dog became the star.

Headmaster Igor Kararoff, being a Death Eater has a bit of an influence on this subject.

After Neville finds the Room of Requirement he shows it to Harry and some of the other members of the group. Hermione explains what the Room of Requirement is and Harry makes the above observation, announcing it to be the perfect practice room for Dumbledore’s Army.

Harry is played by Daniel Radcliffe.

Harry's arm broke, but Professor Lockhart casted a spell that removed all of Harry's bones, and had to be regrown with Skele-Gro. Dobby also prevented Harry and Ron from entering platform 9 3/4, and withheld his friends' letters from Harry, and caused a cake to fall on Mrs. Mason, all to try to stop Harry from returning to Hogwarts. Harry gets Dobby to promise never to try to save his life again.

After Harry passed out from the arrival of the dementors, Professor Lupin, played by David Thewlis, provided him with chocolate to make him feel better.

Rectangular pillars topped with the head of the god Hermes were used as roadmarkers (hermaiherm).

Harry faced the Hungarian Horntail in his first task. He used his wand to summon his broom and then flew around the castle with the dragon chasing him. In the end the dragon crashed into a bridge and fell. Harry came back to the stadium to capture his golden egg. The second task was to save something precious stolen by Merpeople and the third one was to run the maze and capture the cup at the center. The facing of different dark creatures using different spells wasn't one of the tasks.

At the feast Dumbledore introduces the two new professors to the students. He starts speaking about another subject when he hears Umbridge make her annoying little noise that sounds like the cross between a giggle and clearing her throat. She then rises to address the students, starting with this saccharine observation. The camera then pans to the students, none of whom are smiling.
