Gabriel is mentioned by name four times in the Bible:

In Daniel 8:15-27, he interprets Daniel's vision for him.

In Daniel 9:20-23, he gave Daniel a prophesy concerning the Messiah.

In Luke 1:5-17, he announces to Zacharias that he and his wife will be having a son (who will become John the Baptist).

And finally, in Luke 1:26-38, he tells Mary that she will conceive a child by the Holy Spirit, Jesus the Messiah.

When he was called Saul, he was a very bad man, and he killed Christians. God suddenly made a very bright light flash around him, causing him to go blind. This is when God spoke to him. He told him to go to the city, and there he would be given further instructions. He was taken to the city of Damascus, and he stayed there for three days, and he did not eat or drink. Later, a follower of Christ named Ananias came to the house where Saul was staying. He was told to go there by God. Ananias touched Saul's eyes and told him that if he accepted Jesus as his Savior, then he would no longer be blind. He did accept Jesus, and he was able to see.

Matthew 4:1-2 Jesus fasted for 40 days and the entire time that he was in the wilderness the devil tempted him.

I Samuel 25:1-42 tells the story of the wealthy Nabal and his wife Abigail. Nabal had a thousand goats and three thousand sheep. After Nabal refused David's request for provisions, his wife sent David what he needed. When Nabal died ten days later, Abigail became David's wife.

Genesis 21:1-7 - Abraham is known as the 'Father of faith' because he trusted God to give him this child. He was seventy-five when God made this promise. Twenty-five years later he has the promised child, Romans 4 says that Abraham never doubted God.

Ishmael was Abraham's first son, and in Genesis 16:16 we are told that Abraham was 86 when Ishamael was born. Ishmael was the older brother when Isaac was born.

Most Biblical scholars date Mark at around 70 AD, with Matthew and Luke using this gospel as source material for their own narratives. John was most likely the last gospel written, usually dated around 90-100 AD.

Issachar was Jacob's fifth son (Genesis 30:17,18). He was the son of Leah and Jacob.

See Acts Chapter 7 54-60. Peter and Paul were also martyred for their faith under the later persecution by the Emperor Nero. It is believed that John died naturally after writing the book of Revelation as an old man.
